The new article “Revolutionizing drug discovery: Integrating artificial intelligence with quantitative systems pharmacology” by Igor Goryanin, Irina Goryanin, Oleg Demin was published in Drug Discovery Today on August 6, 2025.
Oleg Demin, Chief Scientific Advisor and co-founder of InSysBio, highlights, "AI is a hot topic now. QSP was “on hype” previously but now is (almost) routinely applied in drug development. In the paper we are discussing possible ways of their combination. We do not know which ideas mentioned in our paper will be implemented in current QSP framework and how they are able to modify/improve/simplify an application of QSP models. But we think that attempts to implement the ideas in the real QSP modeling efforts is even more important than participation in the AI vs QSP discussions. I would like to acknowledge Igor Goryanin who is first and key author of the paper for his initiative to write the paper and enourmous efforts and enthusiasm!"
About InSysBio
InSysBio is a group of Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) companies located in Limassol, Cyprus (INSYSBIO CY Ltd) and Edinburgh, UK (INSYSBIO UK LIMITED). InSysBio was founded in 2004 and has an extensive track record of helping pharmaceutical companies to make right decisions on the critical stages of drug research and development by application of QSP modeling.
