IRT 3.2.0 acquires new models and extended annotations
(Moscow – 20.08.2020) InSysBio, one of the world’s pioneers of Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) modeling, presents the new version of its Immune Response Template (IRT). IRT is an efficient and useful tool to boost and facilitate the development of QSP models in immunology and immuno-oncology therapeutic areas. By this point IRT has been developed into a fully-fledged database but InSysBio constantly goes further in its software advancement.
Actually, IRT Version 3.2.0 has been enhanced significantly in comparison with the previous one. First of all, it was extended by three new models of «cell passport» type, namely:
The new schemes and corresponding equations that describe the lifecycle of these cells were introduced in IRT 3.2. Moreover, the majority of parameters within the equations are identified. It should be outlined, that the annotations that include the description of parameter identification methods are also implemented in the Database. Some In vitro models that were used for fitting (in that cases it was conducted) can be also found in IRT Database 3.2.0.
Another significant update covers the annotations which now include the information about parameters and fitted in vitro data. Specifically, models used for fitting and the data that depicts fitting quality are represented in frames of the Database.
Additionally, some bugs of the previous version have been corrected by IRT team. Veronika Musatova, Head of IRT development team, comments on it, “We have checked and updated the parameters values calculated via the experimental data for the models of eosinophils, B cells and T cells. The information about the data sources (links to tables and pictures) for the parameters calculation was supplemented. We have also corrected minor inconsistencies between the schemes and equations of Mast cells and Langerhans cells models”.
Application of IRT allows to simplify routine work on QSP model development and calibration by using calibrated sub-models exported from IRT as building blocks. Thus, IRT team intends to further develop and update the software for both internal and external usage.
