This year InSysBio CEO Dr Oleg Demin with expert modelers Tatiana Karelina and Evgeny Metelkin and modelers Dmitry Shchelokov, Svetlana Rubina and Veronika Musatova are giving the course “Modeling for systems biology and biomedicine” at the Faculty of Bioengineering and Bioinformatics, Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The course will give an introduction to quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) modeling and summary of general principles of development of mathematical models of biological systems, such as enzyme kinetics, metabolic and signaling pathways and cell dynamics. Dr Demin will show students how to describe pharmacokinetics and how to implement interaction between drugs and targets in the model. The course program is based on cases of various modeling approaches for biomedical and pharmacological problems solving. The course is given annually at the Faculty of bioengineering and bioinformatics, in addition InSysBio expert modelers give lectures on modeling for systems biology at the Faculty of Physics.

About InSysBio

InSysBio is a Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) company located in Moscow, Russia (INSYSBIO LLC) and Edinburgh, UK (INSYSBIO UK LIMITED). InSysBio was founded in 2004 and has an extensive track record of helping pharmaceutical companies to make right decisions on the critical stages of drug research and development by application of QSP modeling. InSysBio’s innovative QSP approach has already become a part of the drug development process implemented by our strategic partners: there are more than 100 completed projects in collaboration with leaders of pharmaceutical industry.
