The new version of IRT is extended by the new scheme type and models

[Moscow – 17.12.2020] InSysBio, one of the world’s pioneers of Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) modeling, launches Immune Response Template (IRT) version 3.3.0. IRT is a fully-fledged database and its application simplifies routine work on QSP model development by using calibrated sub-models exported from IRT as building blocks.

In fact, IRT 3.3.0 acquires a significant range of new features. This groundbreaking update makes it even more efficient and useful tool to boost and facilitate the development of QSP models in immunology and immuno-oncology therapeutic areas.

First of all, the new scheme type is introduced: “cell cytokine profile”. Each scheme illustrates cytokine production of the immune cells with regulators of the production rate included. Schemes are available for 15 cell species, namely: EO, Mph, IDEC, LC, MC, ILC2, B, Th1, Th2, Th9, Th17, Th22, Treg, Tc2, Tc22.

Secondly, the new “conventional DC” model is added. The model describes conventional DC differentiation, proliferation, apoptosis, migration, activation in vivo.
Another new model added is ”target cell” model. The model describes proliferation, apoptosis, and specific lysis of a target cell by NK dim cells. Moreover, specific lysis equations and parameters identification description is specified in the annotation of IRT v. 3.3.0.

Additionally, “Macrophage passport” model is updated. The upgraded model describes macrophages differentiation in M1 and M2 subtypes, proliferation, and apoptosis. Besides, cytokines production parameters are checked and updated.

Veronika Musatova, Head of IRT development team, emphasizes, “As you see, InSysBio constantly moves forward in its software advancement. Thus, IRT team intends to further evolve and extend the software for both internal and external usage. Specifically, next month we are planning to run the update that allows to export models from IRT into Simbiology format which is popular among modelers”.
